The Challenge

Our client faced the challenge of managing duplicate records within their Salesforce environment, which was hindering productivity and data accuracy. The solution required leveraging custom Salesforce functionalities and integrating with external systems to identify and eliminate these duplicates.

A major hurdle was the slow loading time for duplicate records. To optimize performance and enhance user experience, we implemented strategic solutions to streamline the data loading process.

The Solution

The Java component efficiently transmitted only the duplicate records to Salesforce, where they were stored separately. Unique records were filtered out and displayed on a dedicated Unique Page. Upon user interaction with the Dedupe button, all records, encompassing both duplicates and unique entries, were forwarded for subsequent processing.

The intuitive Smart App interface featured several key tabs:

• Field Mapping: Enables precise mapping of fields between different data sources.
• Data Sync: Manages the synchronization process between systems.
• Dedupe Tab: Provides tools for identifying and resolving duplicate records.
• Manage Duplicate Page: Offers a centralized platform for managing duplicate records.
• Unique Page: Displays unique records that have been filtered and processed.
• Merge Rule Tab: Configures rules for merging duplicate records.

The Result

• This project successfully addressed the challenge of managing duplicates in any Salesforce environment.
